My friend and I went to the spca to find a dog (much to my wife's dismay) and Onyx was there, scared stiff and shaking in the corner. I noticed that she was going to be put to sleep the very next day. When I first touched her she messed all over the floor. Despite that, she looked like a very sweet girl!!! I couldn't think of her being put to sleep. Apparently she was horribly abused. Kept with large dogs so she wasn't able to eat, not to mention just beaten.We have had her for several years now, and she has come out of her shell. Now my wife loves her more than she loves me, and she is like our child.
