Riley was a stray at the Cookeville Animal Shelter which served as his home for 6 weeks. The shelter called him a terrier mix, but after doing some research and his meeting a breeder of Mountain Curs, we believe he may be mostly Mountain Cur. He has the playfulness of a lab, too. Whatever he is, he is so sweet and pretty obedient for such a young dog. He was potty trained within 24 hours of our bringing him home from the shelter and learned what it means to go to bed after the first night - since he gets to sleep with Mom.

He's always doing something, but last night when I gave him a cherry tomato, he took it and began to play with it like it was a ball. He rolled it around and dug it out from under the chair, flipped his body over and around it for several minutes before it finally ""disappeared"". Guess he decided it was a better treat than toy :-)

Next to me in bed,He also likes to takes naps on the couch or on Daddy's bed in Daddy's spot
