Pet Name: Kyla
Age: 4 years
Gender: Female
Breed: Chow Chow
Weight: 80-90 lb
Funny Story: For Kyla's 2nd birthday, I invited all of her dog friends and their humans to her fave dog park in Sacramento. One of the gifts she received was a stuffed "Barbie" purse and a pink boa to match. Kyla is not a "frou-frou" dog, never has been, but she picked up that purse and let us wrap that boa around her and she walked..no..she sashayed..around that dog park for two hours, showing off. She even stayed out of the pools, her absolute fave things at the dog park, because I suspect she didn't want to get her "bling" wet and dirty.
Sleeping quarters: Next to me in bed,On the floor, OVER me and across the middle of the bed
Bio: Kyla was a rescue from a breeder who tried to kill her and her siblings. She had a rough start and I was told to euthanize her b/c she was so vicious as a pup. 4.5 years later, she's still got a stubborn streak (that's the chow, I suspect), but she's my baby girl. She's saved my life, literally, and I'm blessed to be owned by her. Ky is just..amazing. She's truly one of a kind, my "Chollusky" (Collie/Chow/Husky)
Tricks: Fetch,Sit,Stay,Lay on the ground, says "Mom" & "Love you"
Likes: Running around, playing in the water, eating vegetables
Dislikes: Loud Noises, mean dogs
Toys: Pull Rope,The Cat,Calming treat ball from PetStages
Favorite Food: vegetables and chicken jerky
How the dog was born: Kyla was a "breeder's mistake"; her mother was a purebred "show" chow and her father was the collie/husky mix down the road. When Ky's litter was born, the breeder threw them all into a back alley. They were 'rescued' by someone, but that person threw them in plastic crates and only sprayed them w/water to keep them alive. Someone else then stole them and took them to the animal rescue group. They'd been on the website for 4 weeks when I saw her up for adoption. I was told that she and her two other siblings were scheduled to be euthanized that night if they weren't adopted out. I couldn't let that happen so she became my newest family member.
Nick Names: Kyla Maria Conchita Consuela Gonzales Salsa Suprema Burrito, PupPup
