I have had Bessel for a little over two years and I don't know what I would do without him. He's my service dog as well as my friend.

When anything gets thrown into the water, and he can't swim after it, he will stand on shore and wail and cry so loudly... I laughed so hard I felt sick later.

Bessel was the only pup in the litter. He had to be taken by cesarian and his mother was not able to nurse him. Also, he was taken from me and I did not get him back for about four months. (He was four months old at the time. He was almost eight when I got him back.) So he has abandonment issues. But he loves people and does well with children. He is not destructive, he just cries a lot. If you have ever heard and seen the separation cry - it would make the most hardened person feel maternal. He was so cute as a puppy. He did not have a mean bone in his body. But he ate and drank so voraciously, I started to think he might have a thyroid problem! He never had enough! He drank so much everytime I put him down he would pee.

On the floor,He kicks in his sleep and passes gas like a Ukranian soldier after a heavy meal!
